In a remarkable gathering of interfaith harmony and community spirit, the Arab Educational Institute, represented by the Sumud Story House women’s group, organized a lively event at the Antonian Charitable Society.
The encounter included a number of meaningful themes: the World Week of Prayer for Peace in Palestine and Israel, Pax Christi’s non-violence initiative, the celebration of Christian-Muslim living together, by reviving the Prophet Mohamad’s Birth and the Feast of the Cross.
The day began with heartfelt prayers and peace songs, blended with traditional Palestinian melodies. Icebreaker games filled the air with laughter, and a shared lunch provided a chance for meaningful connections and solidarity.
This special event echoed the powerful call of the “Cry of the Poor,” reinforcing a collective commitment to care for the marginalized and foster a culture of compassion and solidarity within the community.
Through unity and celebration, participants were reminded of the profound importance of living together in peace and extending support to those in need. The spirit of the gathering left an indelible mark on everyone, a true testament to the power of dialogue and shared humanity.
