Last month, the Arab Educational Institute completed the first phase of the training workshops under the “Integral Ecology” project with two groups of students from Dar Al-Kalima Lutheran School /Bethlehem and the Greek Catholic School /Beit Sahour. The meetings focused on the importance of an integral ecological approach, the concept of advocacy, and how to do an advocacy campaign. These training sessions were given by Mr. Zuhair Tmezi/ Director of the Ministry of Information Office/ Bethlehem.
These encounters were concluded with choosing a topic for the two advocacy campaigns that each school would carry out during the next phases of the project. The Greek Catholic School chose the topic “The phenomenon of burning waste containers in Beit Sahour”, while the Dar Al-Kalima School chose the topic of “The Stray dogs in Bethlehem”.
