Young Palestinian women advocating for civil peace

In the marginalized areas of Bethlehem and Hebron, a group of extraordinary young Palestinian women are rewriting their own stories. With steadfast determination and a passion for justice, they’re taking a stand for their communities.

Funded by MISEREOR, this project is empowering these young women to become agents of change. Through targeted training and mentorship, they’re developing the skills and confidence to advocate for their rights and improve the lives of their fellow community members.

From organizing community events to lobbying decision-makers, these young women are making a real difference. They’re addressing critical issues such as access to healthcare, education, and essential services, while also fostering civil peace and understanding.

By empowering these young women, we’re not just investing in their futures, but in the future of Palestine. They’re the next generation of leaders, activists, and change-makers. They are the catalyst that will spark a brighter future for all.

A Story of Change: Amira and Faten

Amira, a young woman from Hebron, was passionate about improving healthcare access in her community. Through the project, Amira gained the confidence to lead a successful advocacy campaign, mobilizing local residents and engaging with health officials. As a result of their efforts, a new clinic is being established, which will provide much-needed medical services to the community.

Faten, a young woman from Artas, near Bethlehem, was dedicated to improving the hygiene and sanitation in her town. With the skills and knowledge gained from the project, Faten spearheaded a campaign to advocate for the distribution of garbage cans. Through fundraising efforts and community engagement, they were able to secure funding and distribute the garbage cans throughout the town. This initiative significantly improved the cleanliness of Artas, making it a more pleasant and healthier place to live.
