Arab Educational Institute Director Ms. Rania Murra and Project Coordinator Ms. Sahar Fakhoury participated in a meeting on Wednesday, 21 June 2021, at the headquarters of the Hebron Governorate within the Early Warning and Response System (EWRS) project funded by the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF)

The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Civil Peace and Security Unit in Hebron Governorate, Muhammad Al-Jabari and attended by the project partner, the Women’s Activity Association (WAA), in cooperation with the Palestinian Association for Empowerment and Local Development “REFORM” and in partnership with the Rural Women’s Development Association, in the presence of the police and the Ministry of Social Development.

During the meeting, it was agreed to form a committee to follow up the early warning and response system for community peace, headed by the Hebron Governorate. The attendees also stressed the importance of periodic meetings and coordinating all efforts to advance civil peace.

The project aims to build safe societies, respond to women’s needs, and institutionalize an early warning and response system that monitors violations that affect the most important issues of civil peace in the Hebron Governorate.
