Today, AEI- -Sumud Story House hosted the Director of the “Psychology Al Yawm” Institute, Mrs. Sandrine Hilal. Today’s meeting was entitled “The steadfastness of Palestinian women and their role in the local community.” Mrs. Hilal started the encounter by asking a question, “How do you see or describe the Palestinian woman?”. The answers were as follows: The Palestinian woman is: strong, steadfast (sameda), patient, she bring the family together, community builder and so on. After that, the women narrated stories of their sumud and overcoming difficulties during their life. Mrs. Sandrine wanted to highlight the resilience and patience of Palestinian women and their ability to challenge crises and trials. At the end of the meeting, each woman was able to express her life experiences in a way which shows their strength and sumud.
